Project Cereal-Box Bag has two main objectives:

1) To raise funds for HighPoint Community Services Association (HCSA) to support the charity work that they do; making a difference in the lives of ex-offenders and their families.

2) To help preserve our environment and protect our earth by re-using empty cereal boxes.

The Deal:
Collect empty cereal boxes, make them into paper bags, then sell them to raise funds for HCSA.

The Timeline:
@ 15 SEPT to 28 NOV- Collection of empty cereal boxes.
@ 24 NOV/ 25 NOV/ 26 NOV – Workshop for facilitators. (To guide others in making the bags on 28 Nov.)
@ 28 NOV, Saturday – Mass CBB-production by volunteers and HCSA beneficiaries.
(10am – 5pm at HighPoint; No. 1, Lorong 23 Geylang, Singapore 388352)
@ First half of 2010 – Bazaar and street sales of cereal-box bags by volunteers. (More details will be out later.)

What’s in it for YOU, volunteers:

How can you pArtiCipaTe? = A.C.T.

1. ACCUMULATE empty cereal boxes – Drop off your empty cereal boxes at HighPoint premises at No. 1, Lorong 23 Geylang, Singapore 388352.

2. COMMIT your time – Sign up as a volunteer to help make and/or facilitate in the making of these cereal-box paper bags. (Online registration form at http://tiny.cc/projectcbb)

3. TELL your friends – Spread the word, invite them to this event! We need all the cereal boxes and help we can get! :))

- Long rulers (abt 40cm)
- Pens/fine markers
- Hole punchers
- Ribbons
- Penknives

Notes:
* Volunteers who choose to help make the cereal-box bags at HighPoint on 28 Nov and stay the whole day from 10am – 5pm, please note that lunch will not be provided.

* Prices of cereal box bags will be made known later, depending on quantity, sponsorships and demand.
